Co-Op

The initial partnership is established under the MITACs Accelerate Umbrella program.

This initiative operates as a matching program. The co-op opportunity is co-funded by both the employer and MITACs, with a total value of $10,000 allocated for the participating student.

MPP students have the opportunity to qualify for the co-op stream, scheduled for the spring/summer term upon the successful fulfillment of all remaining program requirements.

To be eligible for the co-op stream, students must successfully complete their work placement.

Eligibility for the co-op stream is contingent upon program performance and the availability of placement options. While admission to the co-op stream does not guarantee placement, during the first year of the program, only students with confirmed placements will be admitted to the stream. This is to prevent the enrollment and subsequent unenrollment of co-op candidates.

Students will apply to and compete for positions with our assistance. Some competitive co-op opportunities will be provided by program partner organizations created for MPP students, while others may necessitate students to independently identify and apply through standardized government or corporate processes.
