MPP instructors co-author new op-ed about the prospect of a digital Canadian dollar
McMaster University Digital Society Lab researchers Ori Freiman, Anwar Sheluchin, Jordan Mansell, and John McAndrews have published an op-ed in The Globe and Mail calling for greater engagement from both elected officials and the public on the potential introduction of a digital Canadian dollar.
In the piece, they share preliminary findings from their study, which replicated the Bank of Canada’s public consultation and revealed substantial differences in public responses. Alex Beyer and Clifton van der Linden also contributed to the design of the study.
Ori and Jordan are instructors in the Master of Public Policy in Digital Society and Clifton is an Associate Professor in the Master of Public Policy in Digital Society.
