Academic Advising

Providing students with the information and guidance they need to succeed in their academic careers.

The Advising Office has moved online

In response to COVID-19, our physical offices in Kenneth Taylor Hall will be closed until further notice. All student advising services are now being offered remotely. We are committed to doing our part to facilitate responsible social distancing in an effort to flatten the curve in Canada.

NOTE: Academic Advising appointments are temporarily suspended from May 5th - 30th.

During the remainder of the month of May, Academic Advising appointments will not be available as our Academic Advisors are working on the end of term review of potential grads and in-course students.  We will strive to have Academic Advising appointments available again early in June.  We will inform students of updates to the availability of Academic Advising periodically.

If you have questions about any procedural or academic-related matters you may still contact the Office of the Associate Dean at  and our staff will endeavour to provide you with assistance in a timely manner.

We are no longer holding in-person advising sessions or drop-ins. If you would like to contact an academic advisor with questions, or book an appointment, please click here. After you submit your request through the Social Sciences Student Services Portal our advising team will do their best to connect with you within 48 hours.

Remember, you must come prepared for all advising conversations. This includes writing your questions ahead of time, doing preliminary research on your program requirements, and review your Advisement Report from Mosaic.
