Welcome to Graduate Studies in Public Policy

At McMaster University, our Master of Public Policy (MPP) programs are designed to address the pressing issues of our time through innovative and interdisciplinary approaches. We offer two distinct streams: the MPP in Digital Society and the MPP in Housing Policy.

Both programs equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to lead and innovate in their respective fields.

Master of Public Policy Graduate Programs

MPP in Digital Society Learn More

Our MPP in Digital Society focuses on the intersection of technology and public policy. Students explore the impacts of digital transformation on society, governance, and the economy.

The program includes coursework on data privacy, cybersecurity, digital governance, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Through hands-on projects and collaborations with industry leaders, students gain practical experience and insights into the digital landscape.

MPP in Housing Policy Learn More

The MPP in Housing Policy addresses the complexities of contemporary housing issues within a Canadian context. Students engage with topics such as affordable housing, urban development, and housing policy analysis.

The program features a unique co-teaching model, pairing academic experts with policy practitioners to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Students also participate in skills labs focused on stakeholder management and informatics for public policy, preparing them to tackle real-world housing challenges.
