MPP Professor won the 2024 Hodgetts Award
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Professor Maria Gintova presented her Hodgetts Award-winning research on the implementation challenges of shifting to hybrid work in the Canadian Public Service. The Hodgetts Award, presented by the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, recognizes the best English-language article on public policy or administration published in the Canadian Public Administration Journal.
Dr. Gintova’s article, “Public Service in Canada post?COVID?19 pandemic: Transitioning to hybrid work and its implementation challenges” was selected by an independent committee in 2025. Her webinar was an opportunity to explore this work with an audience of students, faculty, and public service professionals.
As this webinar demonstrates, research by MPP faculty continues to lead at the intersection of theory and practice, enriching understanding of contemporary issues in public administration across Canada.
